The Texas Legends have partnered with Rock 101 Grill to bring “Battle of the Legends,” a summer music series that will allow musicians of all ages and genres to compete for the title of “Texas Legend”.
Battle of the Legends will consist of seven events hosted every other Thursday by Rock 101 Grill (2833 W Eldorado Pkwy, Suite 301, Frisco, TX 75034), beginning in July. The first four weeks will be elimination rounds, narrowing the pool to 12 quarterfinalists who will go through two more rounds to choose the three finalists. In week seven, the Texas Legend will be crowned, winning a grand prize package consisting of the chance to record a five-song EP along with the opportunity to perform live at a Texas Legends game and the Legends’ 2015 Freedom Fest. The schedule is as follows:
- Week One: July 10th
- Week Two: July 24th
- Week Three: August 7th
- Week Four: August 21st
- Week Five: September 4th
- Week Six: September 18th
- FINAL –Week Seven: Saturday, October 4th

Rock 101 Grill, established in 2013 in Little Elm, combines dining with entertainment. When founded, the mission of Rock 101 Grill was for customers to enjoy a full “rock star” experience from the moment they entered. The restaurant brings in live music six days a week along with special theme nights and fundraising events. The focus on a unique experience as well as the emphasis on community outreach made a partnership with the Legends a perfect fit.

The partnership between the Legends and Rock 101 Grill extends through the season, bringing the Rock 101 Grill Drum Line to the Legends’ games for the first time in franchise history.
