Why NAMS is the Best Choice for Drum Lessons
Have you been banging on pots and pans since you were a young kid? Then our drum lessons are the right choice for you! If you love a good drum set, but you aren’t sure how to play, we can help. Our team of professional teachers use a specific technique in teaching the fundamentals of drumming.
From day one, you will begin playing along with a recording of a song you enjoy. This makes it ten times easier for you to retain the information you are taught. If you are drumming to a song you prefer, you are more likely to enjoy the learning process, rather than treat it like just another class at school. We hone in on creativity and individuality.
That’s why our drums for beginners are taught individually. This way, our teachers get to know each student specifically. We will learn all about your musical taste and the style that you want to play. From there, our drum lessons will teach you how to be the best drummer you can be!
The Basics of Our Drum Lessons
Learning the basics is key. That’s why we begin with the fundamentals like rudiments, stroke types, and techniques. If you are a more advanced student, you probably think these drum lessons will be too boring for you. But we have specific drum lessons for you, too!
For our more advanced students, we have specific drum lessons that cater to your skill level. In these classes, you will work on a number of things. Our teachers pinpoint your weaknesses to try to make them better. We focus a lot on sight-reading to make sure you are up to par with your peers. You will study the orchestration, improvisation, and song form of a drum set.
Lastly, we focus primarily on playing songs and not just the drums. The drummer’s role in a band is key. Our drum lessons help you learn and achieve the goal of becoming an even better drummer. We are constantly seeking new ways to challenge an individual on his or her music skill level!
