We’re starting a new program!

Who: Children under 5 years old and a parent

What: Mommy and Me Music Class

When: Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s at 9:00am and 2:30pm

Where: Neighborhood Art & Music School (Frisco, Tx)

And why, you ask?

Well, NAMS is here to serve the community in any way creatively possible. After much thought, we realized there are still parts of the community being unreached. One major group is the young children. They of course are our future!

Music is an activity that spans your entire lifetime. From the womb to the grave you experience music in various avenues. Our Mommy and Me Music program gives children the opportunity to develop not just musical skills, but through  music are learning and developing skills needed for life. Our Mommy and Me Music class works on speech and motor development, cognitive skills, improves communication, socialization and self-expression just to name a few. This class is not just a time filler, but is a class that allows you to work on things outside of the weekly session! You will be sent home with the activities that we work on in class with opportunities to go deeper.

We hope you will pass the word along to any friends, co-workers, soccer parents, teachers, or family that have little ones under 5! Don’t think a child is too young for music, or groups! We want this to be a place that you find community and friendships to last.

Hilary Case is a graduate of the SMU Music Therapy program and is a Music Therapist Board Certified teacher. Her enthusiasm for using music as a tool to help others has launched her into spearheading the Music Therapy program at NAMS. Mommy and Me Music is the first program to offer her expertise in North Dallas.
